The fifth edition of Human Resource Management has been thoroughly updated to reflect contemporary issues and practice in HRM. A continuing emphasis is placed on HRM practice in the Asia–Pacific region, as well as on the importance of strategy and managing diversity.
Popular features of past editions such as letters to the editor, newsbreaks, case studies and the wealth of end-of-chapter material have been retained and revised in the fifth edition. In addition, the following new features have been added:
- The practitioner speaks boxes outline the views of human resource practitioners from a variety of industries on specific issues within each chapter.
- Class debates provide topics to promote class discussion and reflections on contentious HRM issues.
- A running case study gives students an overall HR perspective of an organisation.
- Wiley WebQ (interactive student quizzing) is available for students to test their understanding of chapter material.
