Resources for Authors

We value our authors as the foundation of our business and look forward to working closely with you. In order that your work can progress as quickly as possible we have provided a range of detailed and specific guidance below to help you prepare your material for the Higher Education market.

Writing Your Textbook
See our Wiley Guidelines for Textbook Authors for guidance on writing your textbook. Part One covers planning the structure and incorporating useful learning features, as well as general writing tips and pointers on how to write a Preface. Part Two offers guidance on planning and delivering materials for your book's companion website.

Marketing your Textbook
A successful promotional campaign is critical to our goal of achieving the full market potential for your book. In order for us to promote your forthcoming textbook effectively, we would ask you to complete this short Author Questionnaire as fully as possible. Ideally this should be filled in and sent back to us towards the end of the writing process, around 2-3 months before the delivery of the final manuscript.

Your help in developing this plan is very important to us. As a specialist in your field you will be able to provide us with some useful indicators that will ensure the effectiveness of our marketing and sales activities.

Please email your completed questionnaire, or contact us with any questions or feedback on these author resources at authorqueries@wiley.co.uk.

For more general advice on how to deliver your manuscript and permission and copyright issues please see Wiley's Author Guidelines.
